Element Templates turn generic BPMN elements into reusable, organization-specific building blocks. Instead of handing every developer a generic Service Task, Orkovia can offer pre-configured, governed options.

Each template controls its own configuration fields, defaults, validation, runtime metadata, input/output mappings, documentation and compatibility — providing governance without forcing developers to write raw technical configuration.

Example: an enterprise template

A company might publish a “Customer Verification” template. The developer only sees the fields that matter to them:

Customer ID       [ customer.id ]
Verification Type [ KYC ▼ ]
Connection        [ KYC Production ]
Result Variable   [ verificationResult ]

The developer does not need to know the internal REST endpoint, authentication implementation, or worker type — the template hides those implementation details.
