Incident recovery
AvailableReducing the time between failure and resolution.
Orkovia's recovery capabilities are designed to reduce the time between a failure and its resolution.
| Action | What it does | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Retry | Runs the failed step again | App and API |
| Skip node | Moves past the failed step without running it | App and API |
| Restart from node | Continues from a step you choose | App and API |
| Move token | Moves a waiting token to another step, no incident needed | App and API |
| Edit variables and retry | Changes variables, then retries | API |
| Rollback | Restores variables to an earlier history event, then retries | API |
Use recovery carefully — changing execution state can affect business data and external systems.

The API can rebuild an instance's variables and active step as they were at any event in its history (GET /process-instances/{id}/history/{eventSeq}/snapshot). This is available through the API only; the app does not have a screen for it yet.
