First workflow

Available

Build a simple approval process end to end.

The recommended first workflow is intentionally simple — a request that gets created, approved by a person, and completed.

1
Create a project
A project holds your workflow assets: BPMN processes, forms, decision models, element templates, connector definitions, documentation and test assets.
2
Create a BPMN process
Open Modeler and lay out a Start Event, a Service Task, a User Task, a Gateway and an End Event.
3
Configure the process
Select an element and configure it from the properties panel — see the example configurations below.
4
Test
Use Task Testing, or the process simulation/testing capabilities, to validate the process before deploying it.
5
Deploy
Deploy the BPMN definition to the selected Orkovia environment.
6
Start an instance
Provide the initial process variables — see the example payload below.
7
Monitor
Open Monitor to inspect process instances, jobs, incidents and execution state.
8
Complete human work
Open Inbox to see tasks assigned to you or your candidate group.
9
Analyze
Use Insights to review process duration, completion rate, job reliability and task age.
